Safeway Leaflet Action

We have been involved in campaigns against the wave of mobile phone masts which were hurriedly erected before new planning legislation took effect. In February 2001 we attempted to leaflet outside our local Safeway store where a roadshow had been organised by the mobile phone company ORANGE. Although Safeway recanted the permission they had given us to leaflet, we got great publicity for our action. We were joined by Margaret Noble, a local woman who had a mast built right beside her house.
