Drugs

cannabis

heroin

In 2000, the UK Police arrested 100,000 people for offences relating to cannabis. By far the majority of these arrests were for possession. Cannabis is a relatively harmless drug and it seems likely that the UK Government will decriminalise it soon.

The plight of heroin addicts and the victims of those who have turned to crime to feed their habits would be greatly alleviated were pharmaceutical heroin to be made available on prescription.
